As part of Rugby Schools 450th anniversary celebrations both Rugby School and Lawrence Sheriff school, pupils and staff have been raising money for the Bradby Club through charitable events. Rugby School sent a rugby ball around the world (#Global Pass) as part of these celebrations, this returned to Rugby in September 2017 coinciding with their Community Day which was again to raise much needed funds for the work of the club. Club Leader John Robertson accepted a cheque for £11,000 from Bradby Chair and Rugby School Headmasters wife Brenda Green.
“Thank you to everyone from Rugby School and Lawrence Sheriff who helped to raise these much needed funds. Thank you to all the additional organisations and people who have also contributed. Funding is a constant battle for the Bradby Club and so vital for us to continue offering positive opportunities and activities for local young people.
We rely heavily on support like this, support like yours; and without it we would not be able to do what we do. This money really will make a big difference in the lives of young people accessing the club. We are so grateful for your huge efforts and continued support for Bradby and we hope this continues.
Thank you from everyone at Brabs.”
