Club Receives Security Revamp

November 12, 2018 Leave a Comment

We have unfortunately seen a rise in vandalism at the Bradby Club of late with a number of incidents causing damage

to the building. As a small local charity finding enough funding for our work and projects is our biggest challenge and the area we struggle most is building costs and repairs. We have seen damage to cars, guttering, windows and exterior lights at the club over the last 18 months, costing the club thousands of pounds while it is being run at a deficit.

We reached out to the community for help and ADT Fire and Security answered that call. Knowing how important our work is and the struggles we have with funding ADT installed a state of the art alarm system and exterior CCTV completely free of charge. Although this has only been in a few months we have already seen the benefits with only 2 incidents recorded. Of those incidents we were able to identify the offenders responsible and give them opportunities to undertake reparation at the club to make amends for their mistakes. We find this works best as the young people take responsibility for their actions and through reparation; ownership of the club

Lee Jasper from ADT said: “The work the Bradby Club has done for nearly 100 years is testament to how sorely it is needed. When we heard this work was being jeopardised, we wanted to help.”

We can’t thank Lee and all of the team at ADT enough for their kind donation and support. Without you and our other supporters and funders we couldn’t do what we do!
