Once again, Bradby are continuing to follow those guidelines that have been set out by the National Youth Agency (NYA) – the national youth work body – in order to determine what we can and can’t continue to do.
Despite school closures during this most recent lockdown (beginning 5th Jan), the NYA have worked with the Government and Public Health to set out guidance whereby work with vulnerable young people can continue face to face, and youth work can continue in some capacity.
What this means for us, is that we can:
- run 121 sessions with vulnerable young people indoors
- run support groups for young people both indoors and outdoors using the youth centre and its facilities (these are invite only, at specific times and with a set purpose)
- carry out online and digital youth services
- carry out detached youth work within the community
Risk assessments and COVID secure action plans are in place, and contact details are kept for track and trace purposes.
