The Bradby Club’s Safer Relationship Project partnered WCC Targeted Youth Support Service to deliver the Respect 100 program to our young people. The group work program was delivered to girls only for 6 weeks every Wednesday night before youth sessions. The group addressed issues around gender stereotypes, healthy relationships, social media, consent, personal rights and boundaries. Many young female members took part and gained knowledge, skills and confidence from the activities and education that was delivered. The boys were not too happy about having to stay outside whilst the group was in session but fear not! In January we hope to deliver a similar program to just the boys. If we are to positively change the attitudes and behaviour towards women we must also educate our young men to be the change.
