Bradby Club have been guided by national youth work body NYA (national youth agency) throughout the coronavirus pandemic. The NYA have been very responsive providing the youth sector with up to date guidance, detailing the activities and provision that can be delivered. In response to Boris Johnson’s announcement on 31st October regarding a 2nd National Lockdown, the NYA were quick to update and release revised guidelines.
To summarise what this means for Bradby;
– We can carry on delivering youth sector support activities, either 121 or in bubbles up to 15 participants inc staff.
– Sessions are invite only, pre planned for a particular supportive purpose for a specified amount of time.
– Time can be set for 121 drop-in/open-access sessions for triage purposes and support.
– Any services provided must be for vulnerable young people.
– Young people and staff must wear face coverings during sessions, unless undertaking physical activities or eating and drinking.
– We can continue to use any facilities available to us for the purpose of this support group, for example if boxing is how we are engaging a vulnerable group of young people in positive activity and support then we can continue to use this.
– Risk assessments and COVID secure action plan are in place.
