Oompah Night and Supper Fundraiser
We had a really fun and lively evening last night, with lots of hilarity and laughter. Whilst the band was very good and got everyone going, the real stars of the show were fundraising committee members Janet and Helen (ably assisted by Richard) who prepared the fabulous meal for us all. It was delicious and literally ‘wolfed down’ by our guests. With 3 sausages per head being allocated, it would be reasonable to expect some left overs. But … [Read more...]
Club Receives Security Revamp
We have unfortunately seen a rise in vandalism at the Bradby Club of late with a number of incidents causing damage to the building. As a small local charity finding enough funding for our work and projects is our biggest challenge and the area we struggle most is building costs and repairs. We have seen damage to cars, guttering, windows and exterior lights at the club over the last 18 months, costing the club thousands of pounds while it is … [Read more...]
Ferret Racing for Bradby
I know what you're thinking, ferrets racing, do they have little jockeys!! the answer is no but they do indeed race, or casually crawl but not always in the right direction. Thank you so very much indeed for our fundraising committees exceptionally hard and artistic work on setting up the Ferret Event. We haven't done it before and may not do it again! However due to you all it was a great success and there was a splendid atmosphere - No not … [Read more...]

Race to the Stones for Bradby Centenary
Massive thanks to everyone who supported Bradby and sponsored Lee Stephens on his Race to the Stones 2018! We also thank and congratulate Lee as he completed this epic 100km ultra-marathon in sweltering temperatures. Even in extreme weather conditions Lee finished day 2 of the race to the stones with a sprint finish. He came in with a total time of 11 hours 25 mins 23 seconds and in a more than respectable 11th place overall. Well done Lee and … [Read more...]
Local Support for Bradby
A few weeks ago one of our gym windows was unfortunately smashed. Luckily for us the weather has been kind and so keeping the heat in was not an issue. Nonetheless, as a small charity when things like this happen it makes a huge dent in our reserves and we find it very difficult to recoup building and maintenance costs. When a past Bradby member at Nationwide Windows and Doors heard about the issue, they offered to replace the glass however … [Read more...]

Bradby Club Garden Party
The Bradby Club would like to thank all who attended and helped at our Summer Garden Party fundraising event which took place at Rokeby House. The weather was, for a change, great and the garden as always was amazing. People came from across Rugby to support Bradby and enjoy the weather and setting to meet friends and take the opportunity to look around. The plant sales were particularly popular this year with almost all on offer being … [Read more...]
